1. General provisions
This Privacy Policy describes what personal data Astara — the astaraspace.info website and the Telegram bot @astara_oracle_bot (together, the "Service") — collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and how you can control it. By registering with the Service or continuing to use it, you confirm that you have read this Policy and agree to its terms. The data controller is the entity named in the "Contact & business details" section at the end of this document.
2. What data we collect
We only collect what the Service actually needs to function. Depending on how you use it, this may include:
- Account data. If you sign in through the Telegram bot — your Telegram ID, name, and (if public) username, as passed to the bot by Telegram. If you register on the website — an email or phone number and a password (never stored in plain text, only as a salted scrypt hash), or the email Google confirms when you sign in with Google.
- Chart-calculation data. Name, date of birth, and optionally birth time and city. This is required to compute your natal chart, destiny matrix, numerology, and other readings — the tools cannot work without it.
- Payment and subscription data. The plan or course you chose, payment date and amount, subscription status, and an order/invoice number. We never see or store your card details — see Section 5.
- Oracle chat and reading history. The questions you ask the AI oracle and the text of generated readings (Tarot, natal chart, destiny matrix, etc.) — so you can revisit them later in your account.
- AI oracle "memory". Short facts the oracle remembers from talking with you (e.g. "considering a career change" or "a recurring relationship pattern") so future replies are more accurate. These facts are drawn only from what you actually said or confirmed in conversation.
- Referral data. If you arrived via a partner's link, we record which partner referred you — used solely to calculate that partner's commission.
- Technical data. A signed login token (containing only your internal ID and an expiry — no password) stored in your browser's local storage; a functional language-preference cookie; and, temporarily, in the server's memory only (never written to disk), your IP address for abuse prevention (see Section 7 and the separate Cookie Policy).
3. Why we use this data
- to calculate and show you your natal chart, destiny matrix, shadow matrix, Tarot spreads, horoscopes, and test results;
- so the AI oracle can hold a coherent, personalized conversation with you and remember context between sessions;
- to grant and maintain access to a paid subscription or course;
- to respond to support requests and resolve technical issues;
- to protect the Service against abuse, fraud, and excessive load;
- to calculate commissions owed to referral partners;
- to comply with legal requirements (e.g. keeping payment records).
4. AI processing
Reading text, oracle replies, and "memory" extraction are generated by Anthropic's Claude model. The Service reaches it in one of two ways: directly through Anthropic's API, or through a local Claude Code CLI process that itself operates under its own authenticated connection to Anthropic's services. Either way, Anthropic receives the content of your request and whatever chart data is needed to answer it — contact details (email, phone) are not separately sent along with it. Under Anthropic's standard commercial API terms, data sent through the API is not used by default to train their models. AI here is a tool for symbolic, reflective interpretation — not a source of medical, psychological, financial, or legal conclusions.
5. Payment processing
Card payments are processed by a bank or payment service integrated with Astara. Astara never receives or stores your full card number, expiry date, or CVV: you enter that data directly on the payment partner's own secure page, and it never reaches our servers. After payment, our payment partner sends our server a signed confirmation, which is what triggers access. Telegram Stars payments are handled entirely by Telegram's own in-app payment system inside the bot — again, we never see card details.
7. Storage and security
Passwords are never stored in plain text — only as a salted scrypt hash. The login token is signed and contains no password. We never receive your card details at all (Section 5). Your IP address is used only temporarily, in the server's memory, to guard against excessive requests and password guessing, and is never written to disk or retained long-term. Data is stored on our servers with regular backups in case of technical failure. Despite these measures, no method of transmitting or storing data over the internet is 100% secure.
8. Data retention
We keep account data for as long as the account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward — in part because payment records must be kept for accounting and tax purposes. Reading/chat history and oracle "memory" are technically capped (only the most recent entries are kept, up to a reasonable limit), and are fully deleted on request — see Section 9.
9. Your rights
You have the right to: obtain a copy of your data; correct inaccurate data (e.g. re-enter your birth date in your account); object to certain processing; receive your data in a machine-readable format; and delete your account and associated data. Account deletion is not currently self-service on the site — to delete your account and data, email astaraspaceinfo@gmail.com and we will process the request manually within a reasonable time.
10. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, email astaraspaceinfo@gmail.com and we will delete it.
11. International data transfers
Some of our service providers (notably Anthropic and Google) process data on servers outside Ukraine. In these cases we rely on the contractual safeguards and data-protection guarantees offered by that provider.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy — for example, when a new Service feature ships. We'll announce material changes on the site or via the bot. The last-updated date appears at the top of this document.
